John Stamos?

I don't really know if I believe this, but a few nights ago Wifey dreamt that John Stamos was 'The Gay' that'll come out on May 5th. Like I said, I'm not so sure about this one, but just in case it turns out to be right, I figured I'd put it out there.

And afterall, he was once married to the very lovely and yummy (that's right, I said it) Rebecca Romijn, who's had many LGBT roles over the years. From transexual in 'Ugly Betty' to lady loving in 'Femme fatale' (can we please just forget Antonio Bandaras) and just over all super gay allegory known as 'X-MEN'. And now that I mentioned 'Femme Fatale', let me remind you just how much she was loving - and feeling - up one particular lady in that movie. It's also the only reason to watch the film, but you might as well stop when Antonio enters... unless you'd like to watch Rebeca do a little dancing in her underwear. Enjoy!

Also, in my "I think this is VERY likely"-category, I would just like to point out that Queen Latifah will be part of the Lilith Fair tour this summer. I can't imagine a better gig after having just come out as a proud lesbian. I'm just sayin'...

Who is The Gay?

You may or may not have heard that another celebrity is coming out on May 5th. Oh yes, this year's Cinco de Mayo will be as gay as ever, but this time around it won't be because Ellen shows up on my TV wherever I am.

Anyway, just like everybody else, I've been wondering about who this new gay could be. And so, I have compiled a list of my top guesses. Okay okay, some of them might be wishful thinking, but still. Oh, and to be clear, by "wishful thinking" I don't necessarily mean they can't be gay, but just that they probably won't come out. Not this time around anyway.

By the way, I really hope it's going to come out a girl, but I have a sneaky suspicion it's going to be a boy. Eh, what can you do?! Let's get to it, shall we?

In the girls' corner we might see:

1. Queen Latifah - You know you want to... and we promise to treat you like royalty.

2. Michelle Rodriguez - You will never convince anyone that you're straight, and you've realized this and taken the bisexual road (yes, she might be bi, but you only ever see her with girls).

3. Kristen Stewart - Yes, I'm surprised I could wait until the third nominee, but here she is (oh, and there she is channeling our very own Shane of The L Word at Coachella recently, which AE called "More queer every year")

4. Jodie Foster - Hey, it could happen... and it's high time!

5. Nikki Reed - She's already pretty open, so I doubt she'd feel the need to do this whole official thing, but then again, it's the best way to get your own version out.

6. Dianna Agron and/or Lea Michele - Already in the gayest show around and very chummy with each other.

And if turns out to be one from the boys' side, then this is my shortlist:
1. Jake Gyllenhaal
2. Ryan Seacrest
3. Zachery Quinto
4. Wentworth Miller
5. Kevin Spacey

Of course, there is also the chance, that it's someone we've never even remotely considered, and then I'll really be chocked... and yet so very delighted as well.

To critique or review?

I can get so irritated with film critics. In my opinion, you can choose to either critique or review a film. And to me, those who critique always choose to see all the bad and negative aspects of what they're essentially reviewing. I know, I know, I hardly make any sense and really it's all semantics, but still... It's such a sad way to look at things.

If a movie really sucks, then I'll say it sucks. But I can still tell you what was good about it – if anything – and I am able to watch a movie and accept that a comedy or horror film needs to deliver something different than say a drama. Comedies hardly ever get good reviews because they're not Oscar worthy movies and if that's your rating curve, then they simply can't measure up. But if the job of a comedy is to make you laugh, and I nearly pee myself cause I'm laughing like my life depends [oh yes, pun intended] on it, then that comedy has done exactly what it set out to do. And dammit, it deserves a good review then. Not just a decent one, cause it's "Good for a comedy". I mean, what the hell else should you review it as? I prefer to look at the glass as half full and not whine about it being half empty.

If I watch a movie, then I start by accepting that I'm watching something within a certain genre and then I base my review on whether or not it succeeded within that genre. If I want to laugh and I then watch "Boys Don't Cry", I'll hardly have a good time. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie.

Ahh, I'm rambling... But, my point is, I don't think "Jennifer's Body" was all that bad. No, it wasn't great, but it was from the mind of Diablo Cody, and this was very clear throughout the movie, if you were open to seeing that. And – I know it was very hyped, but still – the kiss between Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried really was DAMN hot!

Also, "Bitch Slap" was FUN... it was supposed to be a BAD movie that made fun of all the other crappy exploitation and B-movies. And that scene in the trailer was DAMN hot!

So my point is really this: If you get two girls kissing and they seem to like it, then I'll give the movie a great review - and thanks to DVD's I won't have to break the videotape, cause I'm really only watching a few select scenes... over and over and over again! ;o)

Lea Michele and Dianna Agron? I like it!

I’ve been silent about these two, but I simply cannot hold my tongue any longer, so here goes: What is really going on between Lea Michele and Dianna Agron? (aka Rachel Berry and Quinn Fabray of Glee).

Okay, I’ll admit it, maybe they’re just best friends, who like to hug and cuddle. A lot. In public. All the time. I mean, I’ve had friends that I was very close and cuddly with, but that was in my early teens and never anywhere near as much as with these two.
Actually, wait... I did meet a girl, who I knew was gay like me, and we became best friends very quickly and were exactly as close as Lea and Dianna are. I mean it’s like a total déjà vu. In my case, the girl and I also became roommates. In fact, we shared a bed and would spoon and hold hands every chance we got.

Of course, it did evolve from there and we had to admit there was a reason to all the hand holdning, spooning and nussling – oh yeah, I forgot to mention that, didn’t I? Huh, I wonder if they nussle as well? Hmm...

Anyway [getting my mind back on track], we were close in every way except kissing – or anything that would come after kissing – since we were very adamant about wanting to keep this great friendship.

Even all our friends were asking when we’d take it to the next level and admit that there was so much more going on than simply a new best friend. But here we are almost nine years later and we’re still best friends… of course, my point – and I do have one – is that the girl is now my wife.

Here come the brides?

So yeah, I look forward to following Lea and Dianna’s relationship – no matter what the nature of it may be… or become. ;o)

I feel pretty (and inspired)

Inspired by Dorothy Snarker's post today, I simply had to find this old clip, which is one of my all-time favorite Ellen moments. Again, it is of course The Ellen (check here for reference, if you're one of the uninitiated) and I really do sing this song many mornings. It's just a great way to start the day:

Have a great one,

Boobies... and one smokin' hot scene!

That's pretty much what the movie "Bitch Slap" has to offer - and I'm not complaining. Look, this movie promises nothing more that to deliver an almost spoof-like plot of the various exploitation and B-movies, and it delivers pretty well on this. A bit slow at times, and while you never see someone topless, I actually prefer what we get instead: Cleavage... and lots of it!

Erin Cummings (Hel), Julia Voth (Trixie) and America Olivo (Camero)

However, without a doubt, the absolute best part of the movie, is the scene this picture below is from. Click on the image to view the trailer - oh, and there's no spoiler in the clip (except to show you the top reason to watch it). Enjoy! :o)

I'll be back soon, but due to an extremely busy weekend (in a good way), I thought I'd just leave you with a litlle something sweet (or rather "hot and sticky") in the meantime.

20 years in the closet... and counting?

I've been away for FAR too long, and I will get back on track - the truth is I adore someone else's blog so damn much that I've lost focus on my own (I'll be sure to include a post on which blog this is soon).

And I have read and enjoyed all your very many comments, so I'm not gone... just hiding a bit in the shadows, I suppose. Anyway, if ever there was a time to crawl out from under my rock, then of course it would be the birthday of the most popular girl on GayGirl's blog: Kristen Stewart... and today she turns 20 years old, so let's hear it for the girl!

Okay okay, so the song is "Let's hear it for the boy", but just replace it with girl or - better yet - Tomboy, and it's quite a wonderful fit.

Anyway, let me also just get this out: I am all for Kristen Stewart for the role of Lisbeth Salander in the US remake of the Swedish "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". Noomi Rapace in the original version is absolutely brilliant and could easily rock the US version, but an A-list like Kristen would probably sell a lot more tickets, and she could do an awesome job.

For the record, I still have a gaydar that pings out to the max (like off the chart!) for Miss Stewart, so I'd just like to offer this one invite to her: Come on in, the water's just fine... and we won't bite - unless you
like that sort of thing. And FYI, I think many a gay ladies do... including myself - and you? ;o)

Feeling celebratory,
