That's Not Us - Quick and Dirty review

Looking for a sweet and realistic little film about relationships, then That's Not Us is just what you need!

Relationships can be hard work, but really, communication is key - and I do say this as someone who has been married for +10 years. Trust me, just talk to each other!

Anyway, That's Not Us focuses on three relationships: On consisting of two women, another consists of two men and then there's a straight couple. Yeah, I know, don't you just love it, when we're the majority!

That's Not Us - LGBT movie

Oh, and no lesbian dies in this movie... no need to bury your gays in movies made for us!

These three couples are friends because one half of the lesbian couple is best friends with one of the men in the gay couple and the other half of the lesbian couple is the sister of the woman in the straight relationship. Got it?

Yes, the lesbians are at the heart of everything... and they're good at helping everyone else talk about things, but very bad at talking to each other.

In fact, the problem in all three relationships is communication. There's plenty of love, and lots of "I want what's best for you even if it's not what I want".

I don't want to spoil anything (hence the "quick and dirty" review), but I will say this: That's Not Us is a wonderful and sweet FEEL-GOOD movie... with some pretty steamy scenes. You feel me?! ;-)

Here's the trailer for it:
Directed by William Sullivan, who also co-wrote the script with Derek Dodge, the movie stars Elizabeth Gray (Liz) and Nicole Pursell (Jackie) as the lesbian couple, David Rysdahl (Spencer) and  Mark Berger (James) as the gay couple and finally Tommy Nelms (Dougie) and Sarah Wharton (Alex) as the straight couple.

And also, for good measure, this is the official storyline synopsis:

Three twenty-something couples – gay, lesbian and straight – travel to an upstate New York beach house to enjoy the last days of summer, but what was meant to be a fun, carefree retreat transforms into an intimate exploration of sex and commitment. Moment-to-moment, relationships are tested as tensions between the couples and friends begin to simmer. THAT’S NOT US is a romantic comedy that questions what it takes to sustain a healthy long-term partnership. While gender and sexuality may vary, the struggles to make love last do not.

Strand Releasing is distributing, which is always a good thing in my book. Click this link to head on over to the official page at their website.

That's Not Us - happy lesbians in new LGBT movie
Look at those happy lesbians not dying!
For the record: No, I'm not getting paid to write about this movie... Wifey and I just saw the film on Netflix this past weekend and loved it.

Loving the LGBT love,

Jena Malone and Elle Fanning get together in new movie

There's a new trailer out for the movie 'The Neon Demon' by Danish director, Nicolas Winding Refn (he made 'Drive' starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan).

This time around the star is Elle Fanning, but also Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks and Jena Malone star in the movie.

The Neon Demon Elle Fanning Jena Malone

Especially interesting - for those of us with rainbow vision and searching for anything LGBT inclusive - is the brief glimpse of what looks like a sex scene (or the beginning of one anyway) between Elle Fanning and Jena Malone.

The trailer is here:

Have a great Friday,

Friday I'm in Love

With horror! Yeah, I know, it's not for everyone, but it also depends on what you consider to be horror.

Classic Stephen King adaptations like Misery, which won Kathy Bates an Academy Award is pretty damn awesome - and don't forget that Stephen King also wrote Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.

What I'm saying is that horror (often combined with the thriller and sci-fi genres) can be storytelling at its very best. Also, women and LGBT people tend to be more represented in these movies and TV shows than otherwise. And yeah, I know, we end up dead, but we end up dead in any genre. At least in horror, the playing field seems more evened out since most people end up dead...
You said it, Katniss!
... or we're the murderer, which admittedly is a sad gay trope.

Anyway, what I really wanted to say is that I have a favorite horror website called Heaven of Horror, but it wasn't very relevant to share this information with you all previously, since it only existed in Danish with the website www.heavenofhorror.dk

www.heavenofhorror.com

Now they've gone global with an international website in English over at www.heavenofhorror.com And let me tell you, this isn't your average horror website, where only men - or mostly men - write the news stories and reviews. Oh no, Heaven of Horror was made by two girls back in 2009. The same two girls are still running the website and write almost all the content... oh and yeah, they're gay. In fact, they're married.
Indeed it is...
So, my point - and I do have one - is that if you love horror movies or TV shows (including the thriller and sci-fi genres), then please support their effort to go international. They're already the biggest horror website in Denmark - which might not sound like a big deal, but they've been doing this for almost 7 years, so it's hardly a fluke.

Girls like horror. Gays like horror. Gay girls like horror and these two gay girls write about horror, so show them some love, please?

With love of Friday - and horror,

Jillian Michaels comes out in a beautiful way

Jillian Michaels has just become a mom... times two! Not only did she just adopt a little 2 year old girl, Lukensia, from Haiti, but her partner - Heidi Rhoades aka Mouse - also just gave birth to their son, Phoenix, on May 3 in Los Angeles.

Now, this isn't my interpretation of events, but Jillian Michaels' own account of recent events through an interview with People Magazine.

"In an exclusive at-home interview and photo shoot, she discusses the two-year journey that led her to her daughter and reveals an incredible twist of fate: Rhoades, 31, delivered their son the same week Michaels finally brought their daughter home."

Now, you all know I've previously been pretty irritated (and yes, maybe even a bit angry) by Jillian Michaels and the way she was out on one hand - via the "If I fall in love with a woman, that’s awesome. If I fall in love with a man, that’s awesome." statement in Ladies Home Journal back in January 2012 - but then on the other hand rejecting any kind of interview with AfterEllen in August 2011.

Of course, now it's pretty obvious that this was just about nine months ago, so maybe she was a bit stressed out and just plain nervous about too much stress and publicity on her personal life, while she and her partner was trying to get pregnant AND adopt.

Ever since I heard about her trying to adopt, I've been saying that she'd probably come out in a more public way as soon as everything was settled - just like Ricky Martin and Clay Aikin finally came out almost as soon as they became parents.

And isn't their daughter just the sweetest little girl.

In any case, I just want to say: Welcome to the family, Jillian! I never turned my back on you or gave up, but I sure did hold a grudge, so I'm feeling mighty fine now.

Have a very happy day everyone,

I just want to make out with Charlize...

No, not me... those words belong to Kristen Stewart! The exact words were:

"I just wanna make out with Charlize and wear boxer briefs. That's it. That's all I want."
- Kristen Stewart

But don't take my word for it. See and hear for yourself - right around the 0:29 mark:

Uh huh, that's right, she said it!

And I can definitely relate. I mean, Charlize is absolutely wonderful - both on the inside and outside - and she does have the most amazing and just downright contagious laugh. So, of course, she just kisses Kristen on the cheek, which prompts Kristen to say "No, not really!"

But, come on, we all know that even if you were just joking, there's truth in most jokes. I'll just borrow a little quote here, since I can't say it better myself anyway...

"My way of joking is telling the truth; that is the funniest joke in the world"
- George Bernard Shaw

And that's all I have to say about that. Also, I'm sorry for being away from this blog for so long. Please, be sure to follow me on Tumblr, Twitter and/or Pinterest as well. I tend to at least be active somewhere some of the time.

TTFN,

It's okay if you're not gay

Yes, I am finally back. I've had so very many things to say, but not enough time to share those things - at least not as in depth as I'd like to. And I'm really not good at doing things half-assed.
Anyway, here I am, still gay (but of course) and that's okay. But it's also okay if you're NOT gay. See, I've been accused of thinking everybody's gay. You've probably been met with the line "Oh, you people..." because really, it not about YOU, and you might as well realize that at any given time, the things you say and do, reflect on all gay people. Anyway, the line is "Oh, you people think everyone is gay!" And if you haven't heard it yet, then just wait for it. It will happen. A couple of years ago, this is definitely the words you would've heard, if you'd dare imply that Portia de Rossi was gay - and we all know how Mrs. DeGeneres identifies now, don't we?! Yes, I am feeling smug about that one. Very!

But really, I don't think everyone is gay. Not at all. However, I would like to shoot this back "Oh, you straight people, think no one is gay!" And this is something that has bothered me for a while and now I have a very current example where this is extremely evident: Pretty Little Liars!

Oh, I LOVE the show... Really, I'm addicted to it! Just like millions of other people. And like the rest of "my people", I love seeing a gay character, Emily Fields (the girl resting on the red velvet chaise with the most seductive smile in the picture below, played by the gorgeous Shay Mitchell), completely out and proud and so very sure of who she is.

This is amazing and a very new thing in television. Particularly in teen shows. And where the girl is drop dead gorgeous. I mean, not a single episode has gone by - since she came out and said she was gay - where she hasn't said this out loud again and/or kissed a girl. There is no doubt that this girl is gay, because she has no doubt that she's gay. And I love it!

But if you look at the comments regarding who Emily should be with - i.e. when the producers ask this question in the official Facebook group and give the choices Paige or Maya - then the name "Toby" continues to come up. Umm, hallo, she's GAY! And yes, we, the gay people, want Spencer to find a nice girl as well, and we joke (and hope and dream) about this, but we don't seriously think or believe this is an actual option. People DO however seem to think Toby (a guy) is a possible love interest for Emily (a gay girl). Why is that? To quote a recent episode of US Skins "What don't you get about being a lesbian?" You would think that even if the words aren't sinking in, then the actions should. And there's been quite a bit of action - enjoy:

Even the producers know people still think of Emily as an "open sexuality" girl, so they include Toby as an option when asking who the viewers want to see Emily with. This irked me at first, but then I realized they just want to know how many are hanging on to this idea of Toby and Emily. And I understand, respect and accept that. Hell, I want to know the answer to that one as well.

My point - and once again, I do have one - is simply this: Why is it that being gay is all too often perceived as a temporary feeling, a fleeting emotion or "a phase"? But being straight, on the other hand, is considered the constant. The sexuality that we are all born with and so this is the starting point and therefor also the place you return to when you're done experimenting. People can marry a person of the same-sex and still, you hear their sexuality questioned. Fine, being with someone of the same sex might not make the person gay, but it certainly DOES mean they're not straight. A person married to someone of the opposite sex however, is always perceived as being straight. But really, they might as well be bisexual, if we go by the standard applied to same-sex couples.

If you're of the belief that we all have a fluid sexuality and are essentially bisexual at birth and have this as the origin, then that's fine by me. I can certainly accept this notion though I have found my place in the spectrum and know that I have "floated" to the gay end of the sexuality pool. And look, right next to me is Emily Fields... kissing a girl and saying "I'm gay". And that makes me proud!

Also, the vast majority of people taking ABCfamily's poll on Emily's love interest is agreeing with me. And that just thrills me to pieces:

Have a great weekend! :o)

But still, good ol' Kstew is the star here. Also, I just saw 'The Runaways' the other day - I highly recommend it, by the way, just because it's brilliant - and I was intrigued by the fact that the PR machine hyped "the kiss" (even though it's more than one) with Dakota Fanning, when Miss Stewart actually kisses quite a few ladies in this movie.

Then again, maybe their obvious flirtatous manor during interviews just made it all the more interesting - case in point in this video:

And while this bit could be used for publicity, there was no point in telling anyone about the other girl-on-girl action Kristen Stewart engaged in. And for the record, both Kristen and Dakota are truly great in this movie. So very natural... in every way. ;o)

I love rock n' roll,

What's in a name?

"GayGirll2000" How did I come up with that name?

Well, I never really use the word "lesbian". I mean, I do use it every now and then, but I define myself as "gay" and not "lesbian". I have no problem with the L word, but many years back - more than a decade, which is just scary to think about, LOL - when I came out, I really wasn't very happy with the word and it seemed like only certain homosexual women (angry, older, more butch and man hating) called themselves "Lesbians", but I was happy, young - still am, darn it - not butch, but not really super femine either, and I know many men that I think are just wonderful (gay and straight), so I went with the word that happy Ellen DeGeneres chose, when she proudly proclaimed "Yep, I'm gay!".

Me too!
Anyway, when you need to choose your name online, it seems other people have always had the same thought as you, so of course you need to find a new name, and so I thought to myself... What's gay? What's cool? Funny? Sounds good? What works that I can remember and identify with? And then it hit me...

Oh yeah, baby... it's like a new and improved version - or a cool robot, and I'm a bit geeky like that. GayGirl2000... Thank you, Jack!

- GG

P.S. I've lost a good 5 pounds so far, and things are going really good - except I've just been wined and dined for three days in a row. ;o) My parents love to take out me and my Wifey... We really are just foodies, and it is our summer vacation these days.
Besides, Wifey's got the greatest metabolism and can eat like a construction worker, while maintaining the look of a swimsuit model (I know, the world is unfair, but at least she's mine, so I'm  not complaining... much), so my parents really enjoy taking us out for dinner. People always love guests with a good appetite. Anyway, I'm staying on board with the Jillian Michaels workouts and am back on track on the food/calorie intake now as well.

Remember when Kristen Stewart used to smile?

I do... it looked a little something like this:

Anyway, that was then and this is now, so let's continue the follow up, I started recently. It's high time, I know... work has been crazy lately.

But here goes, and let's take some more recent pictures this time around. First of all there's the MTV Movie Awards 2010, where it was all about Kristen and Rob - for example the kiss that wasn't reinacted like it's standard for the winners of the "Best Kiss" award to always do.

As Kristen said "... to be perfectly honest with you it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good at kissing!" We believe you, Kristen. But the flirting with an unknown (publicist, friend, girlfriend, whatever) in a moment out of the spotlight seemed to come very easily to you:

Thanks for the heads up left in a comment by an anonymous. You ROCK! :)

Right now there's also a lot of promotion for the Twilight Eclipse movie, but Nikki Reed has stated that she doesn't know where she's going to do promotion, since she's basically just put on a plane and flown to various places around the world:

"I'll be going to the U.K. premiere, I'm definitely going to London and New York. And some other things! They are shipping me off to some cities...I'll know when I get on the plane."

Read more here - this particular tidbit might catch your eye:

"... we chatted with N.R. for a bit about which female Twi babes she's been hanging with over the hiatus.

Hint: Her initials are K.S.:

"It's not like we all separate," Miss Reed 'fessed, looking yummy in a black Marc Jacobs dress with her hair pulled back. "We still see each other all the time. Elizabeth [Reaser] is here. Love her, she's the best person ever. And I was moving recently and Kristen [Stewart] was awesome enough to come and lift wardrobe racks and boxes."

No pictures of course... but that would just get them in trouble anyway. Looking all butch moving stuff around. HA! I can just see it now... the U-Haul would basically have been one big rainbow in terms of lesbian symbols, and it would've been only too easy to conclude that they were moving in together. They would have to have her and Rob and Taylor have a threesome in public to spin that kind of picture into something completely innocent and heterosexual.

Anyway, back on track - though I guess I was still on some kind of track! As far as the promotion tour, it sounds kinda unfair, that she's not even informed, so I'll give her a heads up: Look at the PR work K-Stew has got lined up for her, and you know where you WON'T be going...

Finally, this is not a "real" picture, since it's had a brief encounter with Photoshop, but wouldn't it just make everything so much easier for Kristen Stewart?

Have a great one...

Is Kristen Stewart gay? The follow-up (and one year anniversary post)

Well, a lot has happened since my original post about the relationship between Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed. A whole lot of nothing! If you’re to believe the unreal lack of pictures featuring them both… which of course, we know better than to do (you really need to click the image below for the details).

Sure, these two actresses are both part of the Twilight franchise, and to begin with they were the key elements of the promotion tour (along with Robert Pattinson and Tayor Lautner), but – as we all know by now – Nikki Reed disappeared after rumors and speculations regarding the nature of her relationship with Kristen Stewart became too intense. Rumors about Kristen and Rob or Kristen and Taylor however were fine and almost encouraged. The same goes for rumors about Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart having had a falling out – the version in which it was due to them both being crazy about Rob seemed to be pushed the most.

However, if you dig just a little bit, then you will find it. No, not the dirt. Simply the truth.
My original post was from June 2009, which officially makes this the one year anniversary of that particular post – and let me tell you, I still get thousands of hits every single month on this posts and the majority of my visitors find it via search engines. Which search gives the most hits, you ask? Why it’s the simple and pure “Kristen Stewart gay” search… Apparently Summit Entertainment has in no way managed to convince people that she’s a Team Edward and/or Team Jacob grrl.

Let’s get started with the update, shall we?

Exhibit A:
While not being seen at any public events and only very few unofficial outings of any kind, here we see the two supposed “enemies” out and about in Vancouver in early September 2009.

Exhibit B:
A tiny excerpt from a November 2009 interview with Spin Magazine.

Q: What’s the most prized T-shirt in your collection?
A: [Friend and New Moon star] Kristen [Stewart] and I share a lot of clothes, so I wear a lot of Joan Jett shirts.

Uh huh… let’s just let that one stand alone, shall we?

  Exhibit C:
While Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart were nowhere near each other at the big November 16th 2009 grand opening of “Twilight: New Moon” in Hollywood, they were both there, but you'll only find picture of them with other cast members:

And for good measure, here is the undeniable proof that they were both there; Please note the fact that their wearing the dresses from the above images and also, pay attention to the pink "Kristen is the shiznit!" t-shirt in the background:

However, three days later on November 19th at the New York premiere, Nikki and Kristen were seen in official pictures together for the first time in a very long time:

I’m sure someone got fired for letting that happen, but what can you do? Maybe Kristen weren’t supposed to arrive at the same time since she's wearing a long trench coat while Nikki is sporting a red carpet dress -seems a bit odd. Also, Kristen does have a very smug look about her - as if she just got away with something. And if the trench coat reasoning should be that it was her cold, then it got warmer later on, when the dress was in fact revealed later and looked like this:
No picture of them along side one another in their red carpet dresses though... of course not.

You GO, girls! I'll return shortly with yet another update - some more recent input as well.

How about both versions of the VF shoot?

Okay, sure, it's just a quick pec on the lips... but it is a kiss, and you KNOW they would've focused on this if it had been with one of the male co-stars. But it's okay to kiss another girl (thank you, Katy Perry, LOL). Well, you know, as long as you don't like it TOO much and actually want to do it when nobody's watching. ;o)

Anyway, after viewing the official VF shoot footage above, I stumbled across the "full" version on my beloved YouTube. In this complete version the girls are dancing and well - the video shows this, so don't take my word for it - they simply cannot keep their hands off of each other for even two seconds. Below is the uncut version, which a kind soul uploaded with the comment:
This is just for those Nikki Reed/Kristen Stewart fans out there who raised an eyebrow at the edited VF shoot.

It's sweet, it's wonderful and it must've been love (of SOME kind, anyway)...

LOVING the love,

New tattoo?

No, this isn't about Nikki Reed or Kristen Stewart or any other famous person... It's just lil' ol' me. ;o)

You see, one of my treats for when I have my body is to get a tattoo. Well, one more, actually. I got my first tattoo ten years ago this summer, so I think it's high time for another. I have more than one planned too, but just one at a time. Oh, and they're all hidden so far, and I plan on keeping it that way. If anything, I'd go for the wrist, foot or inside of my lower arm near my elbow, but for the current and next one, you need to catch me in a bikini to see it.

The first is on my lower stomach and I got it when I was about umm maybe 20-25 pounds lighter. I was a bit on the heavy side, but being a vegetarian for 18 months and coming to terms (happily, I might add) with being gay really helped me shed the weight. Unfortunately, being happy and comfortable, has meant the weight has crept on again during the years. I've already lost a good 10 pounds now, so I need about 10 more for starters. I became too thin back in my veggie days, but this was after the tattoo. I'd really like to go vegetarian again - it's easier to control my food intake and morally I'd feel a lot better, but it just seems to scare people a bit (especially my mom is scared I'll get too thin again) and also, it's a bit of an inconvinience. Not to me, mind you, but everyone else perceives it that way. Just one of my little battles, I suppose.

ANYWAY, back on track: Tattoo! Hmm, I suppose my old tattoo could be described as being close to the hip bone, but it's not quite as low as I would've liked. LOL, or maybe it's just my gaining and losing weight that has me confused about where it was versus where it is now. In any case, I still love it, and have no regrets about getting it - though it does need a touch-up and maybe I'll add something to it.
But my next tattoo - which is what this post was initially supposed to be about, before I got a rambling attack - is going to be a quote from Braveheart. I've been struggling with what I wanted, but I was pretty sure I wanted a quote, and suddenly I stumbled across an old e-mail I sent myself with quotes for future tattoos and it all came back to me. I've ALWAYS wanted this, and somehow I'd forgotten.

Your heart is free. Have the courage to follow it.

Wifey actually made a sketch for me with this quote in latin and some artwork around it about 6 years ago. Back then I wanted it placed on my lower back, but I was never quite pleased - or at ease - with the idea and look of it. But now I know what I want: Just the quote in a cool font and on the left side of my torso (near my heart). Like this one, but still different:

I don't have the sketch ready yet, but I will soon and we're booking an appointment with a tattoo place soon, so I'll have that as an incentive to get totally toned by then. October is the plan, and it'll be Wifey and my birthday present to one another. Oh yeah, she's getting one too. Her first one. Nothing like mine and in a different spot... it'll be an amazing experience.

Anyone has any experience with getting tattooed in that area of your body?

To be fair...

I know, I'm all over this Nikki and Kristen thing these days. I can't help it... I've got this pretty finely tuned Bullsh*t detector, and this whole thing has just set it off. Not wondering about the nature of their relationship, but the obvious cover-up and "damage control" of removing Nikki Reed from all PR, and them not being seen together after months of being inseperable.

But in all fairness, I do remember what it was like to be in my early twenties. Having nothing to hold me back and just enjoy life (I still have that but just with some responsibilities to set a few boundaries to the madness, LOL).
Anyway, one of the reasons I remember this time of my life so fondly and vividly, is because it's when I met the love of my life.

We started out becoming the very best of friends, and our relationship was definitely very physically close as well - though not sexual. Oh, of course, it is quite sensual when you're always touching and staying practically attached at the hips and holding hands, but we insisted we were just friends.
We became friends knowing we were both gay (we met online and were both just looking for other gay friends actually), and so we opened up completely to each other immediately. There's nothing to hide or fake, when you're building a friendship, and not dating. LOL, everyone else thought it was obvious that we were actually falling in love and practicaly dating - no matter what we called it - and eventually, when we spent a night apart for the first time in weeks, we caved in.

During some late night texting, my new best friend (and favorite person in the Universe to be completely honest) suddenly asked if I thought we should be more than just friends. Without hesistation, I knew that I did. And after panicking over my cell phone suddenly refusing to send my reply - and creating some panic at the other end because no reply came - I finally managed to get a signal by hanging out the window with my cell phone.
Just a few days before, we had talked about how we really didn't have room to date anyone, cause we had each other. And any girlfriend would have to accept that we were best friends and physically close, cause we had no intention of not cuddling up next to one another in bed og stop holding hands. And what girlfriend would - or should - ever accept that. I certainly never would have myself. On the other hand, we didn't want to ruin our amazing friendship, so we knew we should be happy with "just" that. LOL, yeah, right, Sometimes you have to accept that you do have choices, and don't have to settle for less than what your heart desires. It probably would have ruined us if we hadn't realized what was happening.

Anyway, my point... when I see Nikki and Kristen (or Lindsay and Samantha back in the day, for that matter), then I see myself and Wifey. Being happy and carefree, not caring or minding that nobody else understands our relationship. But looking back, those people [our friends who knew us very well apperantly] who we claimed didn't understand what we had, were all probably just a lot quicker at seeing what was happening, while we were happy just living it.

And, looking back, I wouldn't have done a single thing differently... It was perfect! :o)

Lovingly,

Where is Nikki Reed?

I almost forgot... There was an additional little interesting fact in relation to the pictures of Dakota og Kristen taken in Italy. The pictures were published on several websites in late May, but earlier that same month, Nikki Reed was seen in L.A. - since she wasn't in the scenes being shots in Vancouver at the time - and according to JustJaredJr, she was quoted as saying to MTV:

“Put it this way: I am not in any of the scenes in Italy, but we’ve already made sure that I am going to Italy while they shoot that because I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book.”

But then the question becomes: Where was Nikki Reed? Was she ever in Italy? The answer: No!

While the quote above was seen everywhere on May 13th, just six days later (on May 18th) several websites were reporting the opposite. Refering to the quote above and adding their own two cents:
It is no secret that Reed and co-star Kristen Stewart are and have been very close friends for a great while, and, as a group, all of the stars of Twilight have developed a bond and friendship that seems to continue through the filming process.
the Examiner reported that she had decided against it and would be spending time with her family instead.

Hmm, okay, so she's just been in L.A. for a while, not being with the cast in Vancouver, and now she decided against a holiday in the company of friends, cause she wanted to spend more time with her family. And she just decided this in less than a week? Eager and excited to go one minute and wanting to relax with her family the next? Riiiight.

Meanwhile, the fascinating latest news about Nikki Reed [ALL over the Internet since June 12th] is that both she and Ashley Greene have decided to quit smoking. Yay, doing it for the kids... They want to be good role models. No gay, no smoke... ALL good! Hmm, gives a new double meaning to the word "fag" [slur for gay and British slang for cigarette].

Guess we won't be seeing any more picture like this:

But then again, ANY picture with Kristen and Nikki seen together would be a miracle these days.

Looking for the BFF's,

The plot thickens... Enter a new BFF?

Turn to MTV Asia for an interview with Nikki Reed. Of course, this is from before she mysteriously vanished from all Twilight publicity, but still. It is quite open and candid. Here's just a bit from the interview:

"It's bizarre. Obviously, we can do it [hate each other on screen] because it is acting. But it is really funny." She's speaking about her real-life love for BFF Kristen Stewart - a sharp contrast to her character's distaste toward Stewart's Bella. Fans all over the world have loved to hate Reed for being so cruel to their Bella, but in actuality, the duo recently took a vacation together to Africa and plan to reunite for the movie K-11 between Twilight sequels.

Hmm, "She's speaking about her real-life love for BFF Kristen Stewart". Well now, isn't that just truly sweet and innocent and how wonderful that they've gone to Africa together. But of course, completely inappropriate for the US market. Oh wait, do they think BFF means "Best Fuck Friend"? That would explain a lot, since they're treating the whole thing as if that's the nature of the girls' relationsship. And obviously, that little fact needs to be hidden.

Meanwhile, the latest news in the US (and therefor the entire Western world) is the budding friendship bestween Kristen and Dakota Fanning, which I personally think is great. Of course, I do believe it helps very much that Dakota is still perceived as an 11-year old sweet girl by many, and therefor is no threat to the possible gayness factor of Kristen Stewarts image.

And this time, I'm not the only one noticing how Dakota has been absent from Kristen's public off set life, and is now suddenly showing up. This picture below was found on Atwilightkiss.com where it was accompanied by this comment:
At long last, there’s a picture of the soon to be The Runaways co-stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, who have never been caught together in Vancouver despite the fact that they will be shooting for the next eight weeks before the grueling Eclipse shoot and New Moon publicity starts.

According to the comments, there's been a picture of them seen together in Vancouver as part of a group, but not where it seemed as if they were friends privately. Here's another shot for ya... this one was found on newmoonmovie.org (which is one of the websites where certain images and stories on Nikki and Kristen have mysteriously disappeared from the archives). Ashley Greene is there too, but that doesn't seem to get a lot of attention, since Dakota is the new thing.

Hmm... I'll keep ya posted for more evidence, that there were once two girls, who hung out all the time, the world's best known BFF's for a while and loved each other (in one way or another - or every way). ;o)
